Find a place to live
Although there are many housing options for students off campus, the housing market in Bloomington is tight so we highly recommend you start looking for housing soon and secure your new home before arriving to Bloomington.
While the vast majority of MBA students choose to live off campus, some on-campus housing options are available. These include residence halls (dormitories) and on-campus apartments. The website of the University's Residential Programs and Services (RPS) office at www.rps.indiana.edu is full of information about housing options and meal plans from which you can choose. If you decide to live on campus, you will complete a housing application and contract online via the RPS website and pay a deposit with a credit card. If you have questions about on-campus housing, contact RPS directly at askrps@iu.edu.
The following list of off campus housing options is provided strictly as an aid to your search; the MBA Program does not endorse any particular properties or rental management companies. You are encouraged to research apartment communities thoroughly before signing a lease. Please feel free to email IUMBA if you have any questions or concerns. Orientation will be busy so it's important that you move in before it begins.
These places have been identified by current MBAs as popular options. You can find many more listings, as well as additional information about the following properties on the website apartmentguide.com and www.apartments.com/bloomington-in/.
In addition to this list, we have also worked with VeryApt to survey current MBA students and create a housing guide. This guide contains more details such as rankings, reviews, and other housing data. Check out the current guide here.
