For admitted full-time MBA students
We are excited to invite you to join us for Kelley Experience Day on Monday, January 27, at the Kelley School of Business in Bloomington! This is a fantastic opportunity for you to explore our vibrant campus, meet faculty and current students, and get a firsthand look at what makes Kelley one of the top business schools in the nation. Whether you’re curious about our academic programs, student life, or career services, Kelley Experience Day will give you an in-depth preview of your future as a Kelley student. We can’t wait to welcome you to Bloomington!
You will have the opportunity to connect with current students, both formally and informally, join a live class, and meet faculty, staff, and your peers. All official programming will take place on Monday, January 27, beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding by 3 p.m. However, you will be able to join current students for dinner on Sunday evening at 7 p.m., and we encourage you to spend time exploring Bloomington outside of these times. Detailed information, including a complete schedule, will be included in your reconfirmation packet sent via email the week before the event.
We encourage you to arrive in Bloomington on Sunday to allow time to explore our community. The official schedule of events will conclude by 3 p.m. on Monday to allow for travel that evening, or we invite you to further explore Bloomington through Tuesday.
Complimentary hotel accommodation will be provided for Sunday and Monday nights at the Indiana Memorial Union Biddle Hotel, as indicated in your registration. You do not need to contact the hotel; simply indicate your lodging preferences in the registration form. To guarantee lodging, you must register by January 20.
Partners and significant others are welcome to join us for Kelley Experience Day. They will be able to participate in all events other than the class visit, during which time we will have alternate programming for them to learn about the Kelley Partners Club (KPC). You may also contact KPC directly at kelleypartnersclub@gmail.com.
The nearest airport to Bloomington is Indianapolis International Airport (IND). If you are flying into Indianapolis, we recommend the options below to get to Bloomington (about 50 miles/one hour southwest of Indianapolis). We do not recommend taxi/Uber/Lyft service from the airport, as it can be very expensive given the distance.
Car rental: Most rental car agencies are represented at Indianapolis International Airport. A rental car is strongly encouraged if you want to explore Bloomington and housing options.
Airport shuttle: GO Express Bloomington Shuttle operates between the airport and various locations within Bloomington, including the Indiana Memorial Union. Visit their website for a daily schedule, rates, and reservations.
During your visit, parking will be provided at the Indiana Memorial Union for guests staying at the Biddle Hotel, and the Kelley School is a short 5 to 10-minute walk. For those not staying at the Biddle Hotel, the Fee Lane Parking Garage (attached to the Godfrey Center) is available for your convenience, and we will have guest permits available in the MBA Program Office at the Godfrey Center, Suite 2010.
We want you to be comfortable during your campus visit. The dress for all events during Kelley Experience Day is business casual, and you may want to dress in layers, as building temperatures can be unpredictable.
You will find a number of housing and relocation resources under the Living in Bloomington section of this site. We encourage you to research and schedule appointments during free time within your schedule before arriving in Bloomington. Monday afternoon and Tuesday are the best times to schedule appointments as many leasing offices may be closed on Sunday.
