Who are K-Team leaders?
K-Team leaders are a diverse group of experienced Kelley students spanning a variety of majors who are excited to welcome you to the Kelley family. You’ll join randomly selected peers to form a group led by two K-Team leaders. They’ll come alongside you in fun camp activities—canoeing, tubing, and more—as well as lead you in small group conversations on topics that will ease your transition to college. Together with Kelley staff, they’ll offer three panels with advice on:
- Academics: majors, minors, certificates, Workshops, classes, study abroad
- Extracurricular opportunities: Kelley clubs, business fraternities, intramural sports, Greek life
- Campus life: finding your way in Hodge Hall, best spots on campus, Bloomington highlights

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Yes. Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Limiting capacity allows for meaningful, small-group interactions.
You will stay your first night on the IU campus in an assigned dorm room. Beginning on Monday, you will be assigned a cabin and eat in the facilities of Camp Crosley.
Camp Kelley Lakeside participants spend their first night on the IU campus and must move in on Friday, August 16. Your early move-in cost will be waived through your participation in Camp Kelley Lakeside and the residence hall room you move into will be your residence hall room for the 2024–25 academic year. Programming begins that evening. Please contact IU Residential Programs and Services with any specific questions about moving in.
You’ll meet fellow incoming Kelley classmates, build relationships with students, faculty, and staff, and learn about resources and opportunities available to you at Kelley and IU.
No. Orientation for the Jellison Living Learning Center (JLLC) conflicts with the Camp Kelley schedule, so it is not possible to participate in both.
No. Intensive Freshman Seminar runs through mid-August and conflicts with the Camp Kelley schedule. It is not possible to participate in both.
Please note there are no refunds for Camp Kelley Lakeside once your payment is complete. If you are no longer able to participate and need to cancel, there are no refunds. If the Kelley School of Business or Indiana University cancels Camp Kelley Lakeside for any reason, you will be refunded. If you are no longer planning to attend Camp Kelley Lakeside, please contact us at ksengage@indiana.edu so that your spot can be used by another student.
