Up-Next Business Academy

The Up-Next Business Academy brings together students from underrepresented populations to the Kelley School of Business to introduce them to opportunities within the business world and educate them on the college admissions process.

Up-Next participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Network with professionals
  • Make connections with new friends and Kelley staff and students
  • Receive help with the college admissions process
  • Participate in fun business activities
  • Learn more about IU and Kelley

Applications for the Up-Next Business Academy are now open. Please apply for a virtual session by Monday, March 1.

Application Criteria

Up-Next is for high school students from historically underrepresented groups, including students who identify as African-American, Latino/Hispanic, American Indian/Native American, or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander.

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Be a high school student
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

To Apply

The application for Kelley Up-Next Business Academy for the 2020–2021 academic year will be open on September 1 and will close on Monday, March 1.

  • Complete the online application which includes a short essay, and
  • Send an official high school transcript and letter of recommendation from a high school counselor, teacher, or employer on official letterhead in one of the following ways:

The transcript and recommendation letter may be mailed by the student, entity or person providing the information. 

Applicants will be notified of program admission decisions on a rolling basis as individual applications are received.
