Established in 2022, the Social Issue Fair is hosted in partnership with KISI Student Ambassadors to showcase social issues that students and companies address in real life. These issues range from clean water to employee-paid volunteer time. Student groups, university offices, and corporate sponsors host tables where they educate participants about their social issue and provide an action item for those who want to engage more with the topic.
Who: IU Bloomington students, staff, and faculty can attend the event.
What: Imagine a science fair but with social issues presented instead of experiments.
Why: The Kelley Institute for Social Impact wants to encourage students to think broadly about the impact of their work on local issues in the community and the world. We want this event to elevate the voices of those working hard to creatively address various social issues.
Timeline
The Social Issue Fair will be held on Monday, November 11 from 5 to 7 p.m.
This event is open to all IU Bloomington students, staff, and faculty and does not require RSVPs.
