William R. Fry Scholars Program
The William R. Fry Scholars Program is made possible by an estate gift from the late William R. Fry (B.S. ’58). A successful serial entrepreneur, Mr. Fry first started an investment management firm, Progressive United Corp., in Indianapolis, Indiana and later became the owner and manager of numerous radio stations in the state of Louisiana. The scholarship supplements recipients’ other Indiana University administered gift aid to cover designated fees & tuition and room & board expenses.

- Incoming, direct admit freshmen
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in business
- Preference given to support students who are traditionally underrepresented within the field of business
Before submitting the online William R. Fry Scholars Program application, students must first set up their IU email accounts. Failure to do so will likely result in technical errors on the application,
Students should complete the Kelley Office of Diversity Initiatives Scholarship Application, available on this website on October 15. The priority application submission deadline for the 2020-21 academic year is January 5. The application will no longer be available after February 5. Visit the William R. Please note, while not compulsory, students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) by November 1.
