The program is one of many ways Kelley helps students thrive. Founded by Kelley alumnus William R. Fry, it gives gifted students the financial support to attend a top business school and the personal support to find their path to success.

Apply

To be considered for this scholarship, you must complete the Selective Scholarship Application, which will be provided by the IU Office of Scholarships to eligible applicants.

How to Apply

  1. Apply to IU, listing business as your intended major.
  2. Complete the Selective Scholarship Application when the Office of Scholarships provides it to you.
  3. Gain direct admission to Kelley either automatically or through a review request.

The William R. Fry Scholarship includes:

  • Supplementary aid that, with other IU administered gift aid, covers standard tuition, fees, and room and board.
  • An advisor who helps you with decisions small and big, from which courses to take in a given semester to which career is right for you.
  • A “Fry mentor,” a sophomore, junior, or senior in the program who helps you navigate your first year.
  • Fry retreat, annual reception, and dinner with the Fry family, as well as other social and networking events.
  • Opportunities to meet corporate recruiters.

The Fry Scholars Program is life-changing. It allowed me to come to the best business school in the country and build a foundation for my career.

A native of Winamac, Indiana, William R. Fry was a businessman, a philanthropist, and a longtime supporter of IU. In 2008 he donated $15 million to establish the Fry Scholars Program.
