Accounting is the study of methods involved in making a financial record of business transactions and the preparation of statements concerning the assets, liabilities, and operating results of a business. Accounting majors study economic and managerial perspectives on the relationships among business activity, economic outcomes, and evaluation of business performance. Accounting graduates who meet the requirements of the State Board of Public Accountancy of Indiana are eligible to sit for the Uniform CPA Examination in Indiana.
