December 2024 Kelley Senior Send-Off
Fall graduates can be recognized on December 19 at 6 p.m. in Alumni Hall at the Indiana Memorial Union. Additional information will be sent to fall semester graduates.

December 2022 Kelley Senior Send-Off
Thursday, December 15

8 p.m. ET
For December graduates, Kelley Senior Send-Off takes place on the Thursday before Winter Commencement. Dean Ashok “Ash” Soni will address the graduating class, and each graduating Kelley will take the stage as their name is called in recognition of their accomplishments. Graduates should wear business formal attire (cap and gown are reserved for IU Commencement).
To RSVP: Students who have applied for December graduation will receive an email by Oct. 15 to confirm their participation.
IU Winter Commencement is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 17, at 10 a.m. ET at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
Kelley Senior Send-Off FAQs
We anticipate each ceremony lasting about two hours.
No, there is no limit on guests.
Only students can register to graduate and only students receive communications specific to their event.
If possible, please plan to arrive in Bloomington in time to make either ceremony on Saturday. Students will be informed of the Kelley Senior Send-Off time in March.
No. All Kelley Senior Send-Off emails will be delivered to your IU email address.
Kelley Senior Send-Off is a focused recognition event for Kelley School of Business graduates. Each graduating Kelley student's name is read aloud as they greet the dean on stage. IU Commencement celebrates all Indiana University graduates. With thousands of graduates, it is not possible to read their names during the ceremony.
Kelley Senior Send-Off is a formal event and students should wear business formal attire. Suits are not required. Do not bring your cap and gown—those are reserved for IU Commencement.
Your ceremony time will be assigned and a reservation form will be sent out to confirm your assignment. You can request to switch into the other ceremony and they will be honored as space permits. Please discuss the options with family and friends who want to attend.
Please submit your ADA request with registration. Kelley staff and the IU event team will work together to accommodate the request.
