Visit England and earn 3 credits for BUS D365: Cross-Cultural Management at Jesus College (of Oxford University) in July 2015. This three credit-hour course, taught by Kelley Professor Patricia McDougall-Covin, with guest lectures by Oxford faculty and executives of multinational corporations, will help you develop a cross-cultural sensitivity and strengthen your cross-cultural knowledge and skills. Through your assignments, guest speakers, and company visits, you will examine the implications of national culture on business practices, leadership approaches, communication, and interpersonal relations in various international settings.
Students who matriculated before May 2011 may use the course toward the International Dimension Requirement. The course does not fulfill the sophomore Global Foundation Core. This course can be applied towards 3 credits of the World Languages and Cultures requirement, but should be paired with another 3 week/3 credit course to complete the 6 credit-hour requirement. This course may be applied as an elective toward the International Business co-major.
You should plan to arrive at Jesus College on July 12, 2015. The course will take place July 13 – August 1. You will be required to check out of your room the morning of August 1. All students will stay in single dorm rooms on campus. Professor McDougall-Covin and one additional Kelley staff member will also be staying on campus. The program will include several field trips to business and cultural institutions in and around southern England, including London. You will also have some free time to explore and travel on your own.

Kelley in Oxford is open to admitted business students with a current GPA of at least 3.0 and at least 26 credit hours completed by the end of Spring 2014. The application opens on January 5 and closes on Friday, February 2, 2015 at midnight.
You will have until February 23 to accept or decline the offer of admission. Once accepted to the program, you will register for D365 via OneStart and will pay normal tuition fees via the Bursar. In addition, you will be charged $2,700.00 to cover housing July 12 –August 1, daily breakfast, two dinners, and group excursions. This charge will appear on your bursar account and will be billed as follows: A $500.00 non-refundable deposit will be charged February 23, 2015. The remaining $2,200.00 will be charged on May 4, 2015. You will be responsible for arranging and paying for your own flights and transportation to and from Jesus College. You will also be responsible for any expenses not listed above such as remaining meals and passports.
