    International application process

    This process is for applicants who hold/will earn a degree from outside the United States.
    Application process effective August 1, 2024.

    Join the next class of innovative business technologists

    Our competitive MSIS program is designed for students who have a passion for transforming businesses through technology solutions. If that sounds like you, we encourage you to apply. We are proud to present a redesigned application procedure for international applicants with non-US degrees that will allow applicants to apply in a streamlined manner.

    GRE/GMAT Waiver

    For students from these select institutions, an automatic waiver is granted.

    Students who are not from these institutions may request a waiver as a part of their priority application process. We will evaluate your request based off your academic credentials after you apply, and we will notify you if test scores are needed.

    Test score waivers are only available for priority applicants.

    Application procedure

    Application deadlineDecision deadline*Response deadline
    PriorityNovember 1December 31January 15
    StandardJanuary 15February 15March 1

    *For the standard deadline, students must submit a full application form and all official copies of test scores by the January 15 deadline.

    Priority deadline: Apply on or before November 1

    The priority option is for students who are ready to make an early commitment to the Kelley School of Business MSIS program because it is their top choice or priority.

    Students who apply on or before the November 1 priority deadline have a simplified application process. All that is required is to fill out the priority application form. Students must submit the following within the form:

    • Student copies of all test scores (GRE/GMAT, TOEFL)
    • Scanned transcripts
    • Resume: there is no prescribed format

    Students who are not selected for an interview from the priority applicant pool will be considered for an interview with the next round of applicants. Students who are offered admission will be notified by December 31. Confirmation deposits are due on or before January 15.

    Priority application

    Standard deadline: Apply on or before January 15

    Students who apply after the priority deadline will need to apply through the standard/full application form. The number of spots available in the standard application process are limited; strong applicants will receive preferential consideration. Students must submit or provide the following to have a completed application:

    • Official copies of all test scores (GRE/GMAT, TOEFL) and transcripts on or before the final deadline. Please provide scanned student copies in the “Additional Upload” section of the application.
    • Resume: there is no prescribed format.
    • A $75 application fee.
    • Not required: statement of purpose/personal statement.

    Students will be notified about their admission by March 1. Confirmation deposits are due on or before March 15. Proof of financial documentation must be submitted with acceptance.

    Standard application

    Confirmation deposit

    A nonrefundable confirmation deposit of $500 is due by the response deadline specified above. For priority applicants, the deadline is January 15, for standard applicants, the deadline is March 1. This deposit will be applied toward the IS Foundations Component of the Jumpstart Program.

    The final payment of $5,000 for Jumpstart will be due on March 1.

    Description of the video:

    00:00.480 --> 00:02.000
    - One of the questions
    I'm constantly asked

    00:02.000 --> 00:02.940
    by upper management

    00:02.940 --> 00:06.430
    is, where can we find more
    self-starters like you?

    00:06.430 --> 00:07.980
    And my answer is always that,

    00:07.980 --> 00:10.480
    we can go back to the
    program that molded me

    00:10.480 --> 00:11.540
    into the person I am today

    00:11.540 --> 00:12.860
    which is a Kelley MSIS program.

    00:12.860 --> 00:16.580
    - The Kelley MSIS program
    provided a great platform

    00:16.580 --> 00:17.750
    for me to transform

    00:17.750 --> 00:18.583
    from a pure technology professional

    00:18.583 --> 00:21.100
    to a business technology professional.

    00:21.100 --> 00:23.930
    Gave me a variety of
    toolkits to be able to use

    00:23.930 --> 00:26.360
    as I launched my career into consulting

    00:26.360 --> 00:28.260
    and it's helped me be successful.

    00:28.260 --> 00:30.170
    - Kelley is the platform
    that's gonna give you

    00:30.170 --> 00:32.060
    the right balance of technical skills

    00:32.060 --> 00:33.500
    as well as business knowledge

    00:33.500 --> 00:36.127
    which is very rare to find
    in any other programs.

    00:36.127 --> 00:38.920
    - The MSIS program at Kelley develops you

    00:38.920 --> 00:42.041
    not only as an individual, it
    develops you as a team player

    00:42.041 --> 00:44.700
    because that is something
    not every program

    00:44.700 --> 00:47.230
    might have to offer right from day one.

    00:47.230 --> 00:50.390
    - Kelley is truly a
    transformational experience.

    00:50.390 --> 00:54.670
    We learned everything from
    finance, accounting, management

    00:54.670 --> 00:57.360
    and I did not know any of that before.

    00:57.360 --> 01:00.590
    I think people completely
    change throughout the program.

    01:00.590 --> 01:02.570
    They learn so much and they grow.

    01:02.570 --> 01:05.460
    - You have students from the U.S

    01:05.460 --> 01:07.140
    you have international students

    01:07.140 --> 01:09.360
    who have a diversity of background.

    01:09.360 --> 01:11.470
    You have a great diversity of gender.

    01:11.470 --> 01:14.330
    You're gonna be with people
    who are not like you.

    01:14.330 --> 01:16.920
    And that to me, was very appealing

    01:16.920 --> 01:19.300
    and very differentiating from other places

    01:19.300 --> 01:20.430
    that I was looking at.

    01:20.430 --> 01:22.710
    - The kinship that the
    Kelley family has developed

    01:22.710 --> 01:25.690
    has really bolstered our confidence

    01:25.690 --> 01:27.550
    us being international students.

    01:27.550 --> 01:29.940
    We really feel we've not only made friends

    01:29.940 --> 01:32.350
    we have become a part of this family.

    01:32.350 --> 01:33.850
    - The company I work with RB

    01:33.850 --> 01:35.430
    really wants to recruit at Kelley

    01:35.430 --> 01:38.200
    because the students come
    out very poised, polished

    01:38.200 --> 01:39.033
    and confident.

    01:39.033 --> 01:42.910
    They're able to stand up to
    talk to upper management,

    01:42.910 --> 01:45.560
    lower management, vendors very easily.

    01:45.560 --> 01:46.940
    The students coming out of this program

    01:46.940 --> 01:48.847
    can start the job day one.

    Opportunity is waiting for you at Kelley.
