Put your specialized skills into practice
The MSIS Core Project is an experiential learning opportunity to apply what you’ve learned throughout the Core curriculum modules. In collaboration with a corporate partner, you and your team will address an IT problem that moves you from thinking to doing.
Integrate learning through an immersive experience
During an intensive two-and-a-half weeks, you and your team will prepare multiple deliverables for a corporate partner. Your solutions will be evaluated for their depth and breadth across:
- IT strategy
- Collaboration, teamwork, and ethics
- Business transformation strategy
- Enterprise platforms
- Agile, processes, and automation
- IT architecture and cloud computing
- Governance, risk, and controls
- Software product development
- Data analytics
- Design thinking
Exceptional projects earn recognition
Five MSIS teams who demonstrate a superior level of excellence across assessment methods and evaluation criteria are selected to present to senior IT leaders at the sponsoring firm.
Corporate partners play a critical part in MSIS experiential learning
Essential to the valuable learning of the MSIS Core Project are top companies who partner with us to make transformational business education possible.

“The Kelley MSIS program has a heavy emphasis on teamwork, and the final Core Project is a great way to cap off the Core experience by addressing a problem that spans all you’ve learned, together with your team and a corporate partner, in a deep dive.”
