Become a marketing leader.

The Kelley Full-Time MBA program is well known for developing leaders in marketing. Our thousands of marketing alumni occupy positions from entry to executive in almost all of Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies. The three primary areas that students focus on are brand management in a consumer package goods, services, or durable goods company, product and marketing manager in a B2B company, and Market Analyst in a consumer package goods, industrial or consulting organization. Each of these areas is supported by MBA Academies devoted to prepare students to enter this industry. The coursework is geared toward developing a broad based foundation in marketing as well as an in-depth exposure to challenges within each area.

Curriculum

The curriculum consists of a foundation course in the first year MBA Core, followed by two required courses, and a selection from a wide range of electives. Some electives cut across all three areas while others are designed to provide a more specialized experience addressing issues within a particular area.

As an MBA student in marketing, you can take advantage of a variety of opportunities to get career-related experience and knowledge, including two Kelley academies that offer advanced course work and hands-on experiences. Our Academies ensure that, before you begin the internship between your first and second year, you will have learned more about marketing than in virtually any other MBA program.

  • The Business Marketing Academy, for students interested in working for business-to-business firms
  • The Consumer Marketing Academy, for students interested in brand management, retail buying, or consumer insights
  • Bloomington Brands, a brand management company that’s staffed by Kelley MBA students
