Online MBA and MS
Kelley Direct application: Phase 1
During this initial review phase of your application, our Kelley Direct admissions committee will consider your:
- Professional background, academic credentials, and leadership experience:
The experiences you’ve gained in your professional life will provide a foundation for our admissions team to vet your Phase 1 application. How has your career progressed? What types of leadership capabilities have you demonstrated? Do you have experience managing personnel or budgets? How did your academic background inform your career? Your Phase 1 program application and resume will give our team a feel for your professional and academic journey.
The Phase 1 application is free and takes five minutes to complete if you have a resume on hand.
Kelley Direct application: Phase 2
Select applicants will be invited to continue with the Phase 2 application, which includes an enrollment interview with Kelley Direct admissions staff as well as supplemental application documents that allow us to further review:
- Academic records
In addition to your GPA from each college or university you’ve attended, we’ll also look at what you studied, your balance of “poet” (communications) to “quant” (quantitative and analytical) courses, and the overall trend of your grades.
- GMAT/GRE scores
If you’ve taken the test more than once within the last five years, we’ll only look at your highest scores and at your quantitative and verbal score balance. We consider GMAT/GRE waiver requests for a select pool of applicants based upon criteria such as work experience, advanced degrees, or a degree from the Kelley School of Business. Learn more about test waivers on our How to Apply page.
- Recommendations
We want to make sure Kelley is your best degree option. Your three recommenders, people who know you academically and professionally, will help us gain a complete understanding of you and your capabilities.
- Personal statement
You are more than your test scores and GPA. This is your place to share your story, leadership experience, and career goals. You'll also demonstrate your writing and communication style.
International applicants
Those applicants who are not US citizens or permanent residents are considered international applicants and will have additional requirements to complete. We encourage you to explore our International Applicant FAQ page for more information and next steps.
Get ready for more success
Your investment in Kelley will offer great returns, delivering skills to advance your career from day one. Our tuition rates are competitive—and you may qualify for scholarships or financial aid including veterans benefits or tuition assistance from your employer.
Now is the time to go from moment to momentum.
