Kelley Direct application: Phase 2 checklist

After you start your Phase 2 application, the items below can be submitted in any order and will be reviewed by the admissions committee once all documentation is received and your interview is complete. Our admissions team will track your status and provide reminders for outstanding items. Typically, students are notified of the Kelley Direct admission decision within two to three weeks of completing Phase 2.

Applicants chosen to complete Phase 2 of the application process will be emailed an invitation to participate in a 30-minute phone interview with a member of our admissions team. The interview is designed for us to learn more about you, including your professional and educational goals. The interview is one element among many that are considered as we complete the review of your application.

  • GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test)
    • Register to take the GMAT
    • Have your official score sent to Indiana University, Kelley Direct Program
  • GRE (Graduate Record Examination)
    • Register to take the GRE
    • Have your official score sent to Indiana U, school code 1324

If you are less than 30 days from your application deadline, send us your unofficial score while we wait for the official GMAT or GRE version.

After completing the admissions interview, your admissions counselor will send you a link to the scholarship application. You must complete the application to be considered for Kelley Direct scholarships. After you complete the scholarship application, you will receive an email with the scholarship award decision. Final awards are contingent upon full admission into the degree program and Indiana University, including final review of official transcripts and test scores.

To apply for any Kelley Direct degree program, you must complete two distinct application forms. Once you complete the Kelley Direct Program Application Form, you will be emailed a link to complete the Indiana University Graduate School Application. This form has several elements that you will submit.

Electronic transcripts

We require official transcripts from any institution where you have completed a degree. Electronic transcripts are the preferred method of delivery. We cannot accept scanned/printed copies, attachments, or forwarded emails in lieu of official transcripts. Please have all official e-transcripts sent to kdirect@iu.edu.

Postal mail transcript submission

If your previous institution does not offer electronic transcripts, you may submit unopened official paper copies in the original sealed envelope. Please send your official transcripts to:

Kelley Direct Online MBA Program
Kelley School of Business
1275 E. Tenth Street, Suite 2100
Bloomington, IN 47405

Credential evaluation

US citizens and permanent residents with international transcripts must send official transcripts to the Kelley Direct program office and may also be required to submit an official academic credential evaluation to verify degree and GPA requirements. The program office will contact you should a credential evaluation be required.

Official transcripts: International applicants

If you are an international applicant (not a US citizen or permanent resident), you must submit official documents (transcripts, mark sheets, degree certificates, etc.) to be evaluated by the Office of International Services (OIS) for all institutions previously attended. Please visit the OIS website for information about the credential evaluation process and what documentation you are required to submit. Your transcripts must be in the original language and English—arrange for a literal translation to be sent if needed. OIS does not accept evaluations from external academic credential evaluation agencies in lieu of original academic records. Please submit the Indiana University Graduate School application before you send your transcripts to ensure the most efficient processing of your documents. See our International Applicant FAQ for more information about document submission options. Please have your transcripts/documentation sent to:

Office of International Services
Indiana University
Ferguson International Center
330 N. Eagleson Avenue
Bloomington, IN 47405

If your institution utilizes an official electronic transcript delivery system, please send your transcript to newtoIU@iu.edu.
