Commercial Real Estate Workshop

Learning objectives

The Commercial Real Estate Workshop is designed to improve the student’s real estate knowledge/skills through case based learning

Specific objectives include:

  • Apply real estate knowledge and skills to case study examples
  • Enhance real estate finance analytical skills
  • Develop an in depth and practical understanding of the commercial real estate industry
  • Improve interpersonal and professional communication skills

Workshop meeting times

The CRW will meet 2 times per week in the evening (Times TBD) for 8 consecutive weeks in the fall and spring semesters. In addition to these class sessions, CRW members are required to attend all IU Center for Real Estate events.

Admissions

Enrollment in the course is subject to an application and interview process. In addition to interviews, the following factors may be taken into consideration:

  • Attendance at Real Estate Club meetings
  • Real Estate Club case competition participation and performance
  • GPA
  • Networking calls with current and previous workshop members
  • Enrollment or completion of BUS-R305
  • Response to essay prompts

Application deadline

11:59 pm on the first Friday of March

Application will be available mid-February
