How we evaluate candidates for admission
We’ll consider your:

A grade point average of 3.2 and above is expected. The average application GPA for the 2024 entering class was 3.6 on a 4.0 scale. Unofficial transcripts are accepted for initial review. Upload unofficial copies of all college or university transcripts to the Additional Uploads section of the IU Online Graduate and Professional Admissions Application. Official transcripts may be required during the application review upon request by the Admissions Committee. Those who are admitted and accept their offer will be required to submit official transcripts. - Resume
You’re more than test scores and GPA. We’ll look at your extracurricular activities, work history, volunteer projects, and military experience. - Personal Statement
Share your career plans and how you think the MS in Finance program will help realize your goals—and demonstrate your written communication skills. The statement should be concise—about 500 words. - Letters of Recommendation

Please also email msfin@iu.edu to notify the admissions team you would like to be considered for a waiver. The committee will follow up with you regarding your request.
