Approximately 7,000 students graduate this weekend. The IU Graduate Commencement Ceremony, conducted in-person, celebrates all IU Bloomington graduate students.

Graduation Check List

  1. Apply for Graduation. Make sure to complete your Executive Degree Programs graduation application.

  2. RSVP for graduation events. Graduates can RSVP for the IU Graduation Ceremony and EDP Graduate Open House.

  3. Get your diploma. The Office of the Registrar creates and delivers diplomas, which are typically mailed 10 to 12 weeks after your degree is conferred (end of term). You need to be sure your name is spelled correctly and that your mailing address is correct. Find out about your diploma at Student Central.

  4. IU Graduate Commencement information. Visit the Office of University Events and Commencement Services to stay up-to-date on the latest IU graduation information. The IU Graduate Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 6, 2022. Graduates arrive/doors open at 1 p.m. ET; the event begins at 3 p.m. and will last approximately 90 minutes. An official IU cap and gown is required for this event. Visit IU Upcoming Ceremonies for detailed information.

  5. Herff Jones cap and gown rental information. Graduates planning to attend the IU Graduate Commencement Ceremony must wear an IU custom cap and gown at Commencement. Visit Commencement Rent & Order to find out more information. Graduation announcements and diploma frames are also available for order through Herff Jones.  

  6. EDP Graduate Open House. This is a meet-and-greet event prior to IU Graduate Commencement. The EDP Graduate Open House will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon ET in room CG3059 of the Godfrey Graduate and Executive Education Center, 1275 E. 10th Street. This is a great opportunity to meet your fellow graduating classmates and EDP faculty and staff, and to visit the Kelley School of Business.

  7. Kelley EDP Recognition Video. To celebrate our graduates, icnlduing those unable to attend in-person events, we will share a recognition video on this page on Friday, May 6. You can view EDP Graduate Recognition videos from years past on the Kelley-EDP YouTube channel.
