Department members also are authors of some of leading law and ethics books. Professors Arlen Langvardt, Jamie Darin Prenkert, Martin McCrory, and Joshua Perry, along with Professor A. James Barnes (of IU’s O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs) are the authors of Business Law: The Ethical, Global, and E-Commerce Environment. This widely used textbook, currently in its sixteenth edition, has always featured IU authors. Professor Perry is also a co-author of Law and Ethics in the Business and Administration of Health Care.

Professor Eric Richards, Professor Emeritus Terry Dworkin, and A. James Barnes are the authors of Law for Business, another widely used textbook now in its thirteenth edition. Professor Richards is also the author of Personal Law and Law for Global Business, and a co-author (with Professor Scott Shackelford) of Legal and Ethical Aspects of International Business. In addition, Professor Shackelford is the author of Managing Cyber Attacks in International Law, Business, and Relations: In Search of Cyber Peace.
