Sponsored by the US Department of State via the US Embassy in Skopje, from 2020 to 2025, Kelley Global led this initiative designed to foster economic growth in North Macedonia and help Saints Cyril and Methodius University (UKIM) establish itself as a regional leader in top-quality business education.
The first two years of this project were focused on the design and launch of the new online SHRM M.B.A. based on the best practices of U.S. business education.
The second two years of the project broadened the collaboration’s focus to expand best practices for classroom and online education into the whole of the UKIM Faculty of Economics and establish a baseline gap analysis and accompanying work plan to support a full AACSB accreditation application.
During Year 5, Kelley Global supported UKIM in its efforts to drive top-level management education in the region, drawing from U.S. business practices with enriched course content, pedagogical practices, and experiential opportunities for students and faculty. Kelley Global assisted UKIM in its application for AACSB accreditation, which, once achieved, will establish UKIM as a regional leader in advanced business education, attracting students and business partnerships from throughout the Balkans and beyond
The ultimate deliverable from this partnership will be an internationally accredited business school program that successfully mixes the qualities of a U.S.-based business degree with the cultural knowledge and considerations of the Balkan region, meeting the growing needs of the area.
