North Macedonian Partnership
The Institute for International Business is partnering with Saints Cyril and Methodius University (UKIM-Skopje) in North Macedonia to develop and implement an MBA in strategic human resource management. Faculty experts in human resource management from the Kelley School of Business are collaborating with economics faculty at UKIM to update the institution’s master’s level degree is SHRM to reflect state-of-the art content and pedagogical practices along with experiential opportunities for faculty and students.
The initiative is designed to foster economic growth in North Macedonia and help UKIM establish itself as a regional leader in top-quality business education, expanding its influence into Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Serbia.
- The four-year initiative is sponsored by the US Department of State via the US Embassy in Skopje.
- The faculty are creating an MBA that mixes the qualities of a US-based business degree with the cultural knowledge and considerations of the Balkan region.
- Their work includes identifying training and development needs among the UKIM faculty to deliver the program and mapping an online teaching framework for the program.
- The new MBA will be geared toward local and regional professionals interested in careers within the growing global business community.
