MSADA students are serious about accounting. They most often pursue careers in assurance, data analytics, risk management, or taxation.
No previous work experience is required for MSADA students—just an undergraduate degree (US bachelor’s equivalent) from an accredited university. First, make sure you meet coursework prerequisites.
New: GMAT and application fee waivers are available. See if you qualify by emailing acctgrad@iu.edu Are you currently an undergraduate student at Kelley? No GMAT score is required.
The application should take approximately 30 minutes to complete. However, you may save your progress and return to the application at a later time, if interrupted. The form will ask general questions regarding personal information and education/activities/experience background. If you have problems with your application and need to communicate with us, please send an email to acctgrad@iu.edu.
Select “create an account.” Complete all the required fields when creating an account.
This form will ask you for full name, date of birth, citizenship, and ethnic information. Please complete all required questions.
Select the fall entry semester for which you are applying.
Select “Kelley MS in Accounting with Data and Analytics (full-time)” by checking the addition sign to the left of the listed program, or you may search for the program in the search bar at the top. Once selected, you may review the program description. You can close out of it to proceed with the application. Select “continue.”
Complete all six sections with your personal information. After completion of each section, “save and continue” to the next section. You will see a “checkmark” indicating when a section is complete.
Complete all three sections providing the colleges you attended. If you are an IU student, you do not need to upload a transcript as the department already has access to your official IU transcript. For all other students you may upload scanned copies of unofficial transcripts and test scores to the online application.
Official transcripts should either be sent to IU electronically at ksbgrad@iu.edu or mailed to Kelley School of Business, 1275 E. Tenth Street, Suite 2000, Bloomington, IN, US, 47405. Submit your GMAT scores to 8ZG-41-11 and/or GRE scores to 001324, and if applicable TOEFL scores to 1324. Remember that Kelley students are exempt from submitting any test scores. Once you’ve completed all three sections, select “my application” to move on in the application. See if you qualify for a GMAT waiver. Contact acctgrad@iu.edu.
Complete all three sections and you may move on to the next section by selecting it. Should you select “Yes” to a criminal/disciplinary history question, you will be required to submit documentation describing your criminal or disciplinary history. Once you’ve completed all three sections, select “my application” to move on in the application.
RESUME: Please attach a PDF formatted resume that includes GPA (International students, please leave GPA/percentage as is), work experience, including professional, full-time, part-time, volunteer, or military experience; extracurricular activities, including leadership positions held and dates of participation; and honors/awards.
PERSONAL STATEMENT: Attach at PDF formatted Personal Statement that is no more than 700 words. Please discuss your educational experiences, activities, and goals. Essay may include influences in your life and what made you want to pursue the MSADA degree. In what way do you believe the Kelley School of Business MSADA program will allow you to achieve your career plans or personal goals? Conciseness, clarity, grammar, style, and format will be considered. Be sure to answer all other questions.
SUPPORTING REFERENCES: We require two contacts to serve as your references for your application; at least one of the recommenders is required to be a faculty member from your institution. If using Kelley faculty, please enter their name on the Questions tab of the application. The admissions committee will contact the Kelley faculty member directly. Please complete the information for non-Kelley recommenders as prompted.
You will need to pay the $75 application fee by credit card or PayPal. See if you qualify for an application fee waiver. Email acctgrad@iu.edu.
After you submit your application, you will receive an email within a couple days with confirmation that it was received. Competitive applicants to the MSADA program will be invited for an interview on a rolling basis. Applicants who are in or around Bloomington will be invited to an on-campus group interview. Applicants who are outside of the area will be interviewed via Zoom. A second interview may be required.
What additional documents should I send to the Kelley School of Business? Your official GRE/GMAT and TOEFL Scores should be sent to Indiana University Bloomington by the testing agency. The IU Bloomington Program Code for the GMAT is 8ZG-41-11; GRE is 001324; TOEFL is 001324. You can submit scanned copies of unofficial transcripts and test scores in the academic history section of the application. You can have your institution email us an official copy of your transcript to ksbgrad@iu.edu or you can mail our office an official copy to:

*Kelley students: You do not need to submit an official copy of your transcript as we can access it through the University systems. You are also exempt from submitting any test scores including TOEFL.
What are the deadlines to apply? For international applicants coming from NON-US based institutions, our application deadline is December 1. For Domestic applicants, your deadline is April 1 of your senior year. You can apply as early as your sophomore year at any time.
Can I take my GMAT/GRE/TOEFL after the application deadline? All required materials, including test scores, must be received by the specified deadline. You may submit your application before your official scores are sent. However, if your application remains incomplete at the deadline, you will receive a deny decision.
Do you accept IELTS Scores? No, we only accept TOEFL Scores.
