Behind many of the world’s strongest brands are Kelleys

Founded in 2002

MBA students Blake Sorensen and Alex Marijan launched an online store called Blake's Nut Free offering a subscription service for nut-free and gluten-free snack bars after working on a business concept that addressed a societal need for a class project.

Mission

The Kelley School Center for Brand Leadership is dedicated to developing the next generation of brand leaders, engaging with corporate partners to create meaningful connections and exchange of ideas, and advancing academic brand management and consumer insights research.

Key pillars

Student development

  • Advancing curriculum and classroom brand management education
  • Creating meaningful experiential learning opportunities through the MBA Consumer Marketing Academy and the undergraduate Consumer Marketing Workshop
  • Supporting cocurricular, student-centered events and organizations including the IU collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association
