Institute for Digital Enterprise Advisory Board

The Institute for Digital Enterprise Advisory Board is a group of leading IT executives and digital experts who foster relationships between students, faculty, and industry leaders to support and implement the teaching and research goals of the institute and the Kelley School of Business.

Robert Bavis

Robert Bavis leads the digital platforms practice within Deloitte Digital. He works on a daily basis with a broad range of companies including tech giants, new start-ups, and those fighting off massive disruption, by helping them bring their digital ambitions to life. In the new world of digital transformation, he leverages 30 years of deep technology experience to lead CXO-level programs focused on customer experience transformation, digital and cloud strategy, sales and service excellence, business intelligence and analytics, change management, and organizational design. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Computer Science and Economics from the College of William and Mary; a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the American University; and a Master’s Certificate in Business Intelligence and Analytics from Villanova University.

David Breedlove

Dave Breedlove is CIO at Cook Group, the world’s largest privately-owned medical device company. Dave has led Cook’s global IT function since 2016. Dave joined the company in 2001 as CFO for Cook Inc., subsequently holding executive-level positions as VP of Healthcare Business Solutions, VP of Customer & Distribution Services, and VP of Global Business Unit Operations. Previously, Dave worked for Square D/Schneider Electric in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Paris. He lives in Bloomington, Indiana with his wife, Melissa, and has three children.

Kylie Cherco is a manager at Deloitte Consulting LLP in strategy and analytics. She is focused on the healthcare industry, with over eight years of experience supporting clients in strategically utilizing data, analytics, and artificial intelligence to gain deep, actionable insights for their members. Further, she develops personalized solutions to improve consumer experience. Kylie graduated from Indiana University in 2013 with her MS in information systems, and in 2012 with her BS in business, with majors in economic consulting and management, both from the Kelley School of Business. She has served as a member of the Institute for Digital Enterprise Advisory Board since its founding, in partnership with Deloitte, in 2017. Kylie is passionate about education and social impact, and leads a pro-bono consulting program in the Deloitte Chicago office helping education-focused nonprofits solve their key strategic challenges.

Ajay Dhaul

Ajay Dhaul is a senior executive with broad, multifunctional, and global experience spanning two Fortune 500 companies—Johnson & Johnson and Dow Chemical. His general management experience has included both commercial marketing and sales, as well as supply chain functions, in which he has led large organizations. He is currently at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health, where he has had roles of increasing responsibility over the last 21 years. 

Becoming a digital-first company to serve its 1.2 billion consumers worldwide every day is a critical imperative for J&J Consumer Health. Ajay is currently leading the data and digital transformation at J&J Consumer Health across all functions and markets. This includes all aspects of strategy development, identification and implementation of critical data and digital solutions, and change and adoption. Ajay’s prior assignments have been a variety of roles of increasing responsibility that have been commercially oriented, with strength in general management, customer development, business strategy, process improvement, organizational effectiveness, and transformational change. At Dow Chemical, he held a variety of roles initially in supply chain and technology development, followed by global franchise and business management, living in both the US and the UK.

Ajay has an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Kentucky, and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India. He resides in Princeton, NJ with his wife and two sons. His older son is studying at Kelley School of Business! He is an avid squash player; enjoys exercising, yoga, and travelling; and is heavily involved with charitable work.

Irene Fogelson

With a history of success in client-side and agency, Ms. Fogelson has consistently delivered year-over-year business growth, providing data-driven digital strategy, product innovations, and overall impactful and integrated marketing campaigns for target audiences and markets. She provides a unique combination of big-picture thinking and acute execution with details. 
 
Ms. Fogelson has proven expertise in consulting Big 4 firms, and in advising small and medium-sized businesses, Fortune 500 companies, and non-profit organizations on growth and operational improvements. She is quick and fluent to connect the dots between technology, marketing, and bottom-line performance, and to develop a sustainable foundation for growth. 
 
She has over a decade of IT strategy and consulting experience, implementing numerous digital, web, and backend technologies for business transformation and marketing automation. 
 
As a team ringleader and relationship builder, Ms. Fogelson possesses an unparalleled ability to recruit and develop teams to higher levels of performance. She has successfully built teams from the ground up, nurtured lasting relationships, and enhanced process excellence, while integrating impactful technology and digital solutions to maximize return on investment. 
 
Over her career, Ms. Fogelson has held various leadership and advisory positions in management, marketing, strategy planning, product development, and information technology which allow her to offer a breadth and depth of perspectives and knowledge.

Clayton Nunes

Clayton Nunes is the global IT director at Cook Medical, responsible for the global enterprise platforms and global IT support services for the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions. Clayton joined Cook in 2016 and has more than 25 years of experience in technology-based solutions. Previously, Clayton spent 18 years with United Technology and its subsidiaries. He has extensive continuous process improvement (CPI) experience, and background in Agile project management, business intelligence, data analytics, enterprise data warehouse, Master Data Management (MDM), and governance.

 

John Polly

John Polly recently retired from IBM as vice president for cybersecurity with general management responsibility for setting and driving the sales and services go-to-market strategy. Previously, John held the position of vice president of systems client success for IBM's multibillion-dollar infrastructure and software-defined systems business in North America, including leading the technical teams for IBM mainframe, power, and storage platforms. John also had responsibility for IBM's open infrastructure offering and Complex Deal team for North America Systems. In addition, he was IBM's senior state executive for the Commonwealth of Virginia. 

John also served as the vice president of storage solutions for North America accountable sales and client satisfaction across IBM's direct, channel, and digital routes. John has extensive client relationship and sales management experience gained in former positions leading IBM's East IMT Communications and CSI client set, global telecommunications industry sales, and other roles, with a focus on end-to-end IBM solutions, business development, and customer satisfaction. 

John also served as the client advocacy executive, supporting IBM’s former Chairman, President and CEO Sam Palmisano, where he managed the chairman’s external client engagements, including C-level meetings, industry events, and meetings with heads of state. 

John lives in Ashburn, Virginia.

Jerry Stephens is a leader who has excelled in global organizations as well as startups. Currently, Jerry is the vice president of sales for Outlier AI, a leader in augmented analytics. He works across industries including consumer, retail, financial services, pharma, life sciences, and more, partnering with some of the most influential companies in the world, delivering value by improving their ability to maximize the value of data. Previously, Jerry was the vice president of sales for cognitive solutions at IBM for North America, leading software solutions across multiple verticals. 

Jerry graduated with a BS in finance from the Kelley School of Business and lives in Cincinnati.

Ryan Warren

Ryan Warren lives to disrupt the status quo. A career digital native, Ryan got his start amidst the dot com boom, working as a creative director in digital agencies such as March 1st and PCS Internet.

Before Salesforce, Ryan helped build ExactTarget into one of the world’s preeminent digital marketing platforms. Recognizing that digital transformation puts business on the bleeding edge of their own capabilities, Ryan established an industry-defining consulting practice to help. By scaling his team of thought leaders, ExactTarget and its customers were propelled to new growth heights.

Today, Ryan is the vice president of business consulting and data strategy at Salesforce. He specializes in harnessing the power of emerging trends such as customer journeys, artificial intelligence, automation, and big data. His teams of digital strategists, architects, and “moneyball” value consultants work with organizations to help operationalize their investments in these trends. He has been recognized for creating billions of dollars in revenue, and works with organizations including Nike, Microsoft, American Express, L’Oreal, Walmart, and countless others.

Ryan currently lives in Indianapolis with his three children. He is a nationally ranked endurance athlete, competing around the world in triathlon and other multisport events. Ryan is also a former member of the Cutters Cycling team made famous by the Academy Award-winning movie Breaking Away.
