Josh Perry is Executive Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Conrad Prebys Professor at the Kelley School of Business. He previously served as Associate Dean of Academics, chair of the Department of Business Law and Ethics, and  faculty chair of the Undergraduate Program. He has been a key leader in Kelley’s diversity and inclusion efforts, mental wellness programming, and ethical leadership development, and he has served Indiana University on many advisory boards, task forces, and committees.

Since joining Kelley in 2009, Dean Perry has won many awards for teaching, including the IU Trustees Teaching Award and Kelley’s Innovative Teaching Award. In addition, he is an elected member of IU’s Faculty Academy on Excellence in Teaching and teaches an annual seminar at IAE Aix-Marseille Graduate School of Management in France. His award-winning research exploring issues at the intersection of ethics, law, and the business of medicine has appeared in many law reviews and peer-reviewed journals, and he is a co-author on two leading textbooks. He formerly served as a section editor for the Journal of Business Ethics and a staff editor for the American Business Law Journal.

He earned his law degree and master’s degree in theological studies with a concentration in ethics from Vanderbilt University, where he previously served as a clinical ethicist in the hospital and a faculty member in the Center for Biomedical Ethics and Society teaching interdisciplinary courses for the Law School, Medical School, and College of Arts and Sciences.

Prior to entering academia, he practiced law in a boutique litigation firm specializing in complex commercial dispute resolution.
