Biography

Dr. Michael Frutiger coordinates the  Show More

Dr. Michael Frutiger coordinates the MSIS Capstone Program and MSIS Core Project and has led initiatives such as the MBA High Tech Academy and Tech Consulting Workshop. He is a member of the Virtual Advanced Technologies (VABT) department, and teaches courses spanning data management, digital innovation, and technology strategy, and actively engages with industry partners to bring real-world projects into the classroom.

For 12 years, he served as Director of Information Technology at Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business, leading a wide range of technology initiatives and complex projects across the organization. In addition to teaching at Georgia Tech, he also taught at Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business where he created the department’s first data visualization course and enjoyed chairing the department of information systems club (DISC) and building case analysis efforts into a course.
