Fred Schlegel is experienced in managing innovation and organizational change from an internal and external perspective as both a corporate manager and a senior consultant. He has taught for the Kelley School of Business since 2010 with expertise in the strategic management of technology and innovation, entrepreneurship, international business, consulting, and management strategy. In addition to his teaching, Fred has led consulting efforts with organizations in challenging economic climates and coached student teams helping businesses in the US, Africa, and the Middle East.  He has led capacity building programs and workshops around the world focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, business development, and pedagogy. As a lead coach for the Institute for International Business’ Global Business Institute and Global Leadership Institutes he has worked with entrepreneurs and start-ups worldwide. As Managing Partner with JSMI Consulting prior to joining Kelley, he provided strategic management and business innovation consulting services for clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies in a diverse set of industries including biotech, healthcare, utility, entertainment, import, retail, and not-for profit/NGO. Fred also has significant corporate product development and marketing experience from his time with Hallmark Cards, Inc.
