Farhan Iqbal is an assistant professor in the Management & Entrepreneurship department at the Kelley School of Business.

Farhan Iqbal is an assistant professor in the Management & Entrepreneurship department at the Kelley School of Business. Prior to joining Kelley, he was a visiting assistant professor at the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University. He received degrees from the University of Michigan (BBA) and the University of Georgia (PhD). Professor Iqbal's research takes on a behavioral perspective to examine stakeholders’ perceptions of firms, and how those perceptions influence organizational behavior. In particular, he studies corporate reputation, crisis and impression management, and market intermediaries. He utilizes natural language processing, econometrics, and quasi-experimental research methodologies. His research appears in field-leading journals, including Academy of Management Review, Organizational Research Methods, and Strategic Management Journal.

Prior to academia, Iqbal worked for the Frito-Lay division of PepsiCo. He worked in various roles spanning brand management, strategic insights and analytics, and corporate purpose across several business units, such as Multipacks, Rold Gold, Tostitos, Lay’s, and more.
