Xin Chen is a Lecturer in the Communication, Professional, and Computer Skills Department at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University Bloomington. Her areas of expertise include business English and intercultural communication.

Xin received her Ph.D. in Literacy, Culture, and Language Education from Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) and holds a Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) & English as a Second Language (ESL). Previously, she taught writing courses in the English Department and served as the assistant coordinator of the Multilingual Writing program at IUB.

As a multilingual speaker and international scholar, Xin had studied and worked in diverse environments in the U.S., the UK, and China. She obtained a MS in Management from the University of Edinburgh in the UK and had more than two years’ experience of teaching Business English to managers (from East Asian countries) in multinational corporations.
