BUS-W 579 Life Sciences Practicum
- 7 weeks
- 1.5 credits
- Prerequisite(s): Departmental permission required
The Kelley School of Business MBA program is partnering with the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) to speed the translation of early stage science (i.e. discoveries) into commercialized life science products (patient delivery). The mission of the CTSI is to increase translational biomedical research and improve the health of people in Indiana and beyond.
This course involves MBA students working on consulting projects for the CTSI’s technology teams and research units (known as cores). Projects will focus on the following areas: project management, marketing, financial management and resource efficiency. Students work in small teams and develop recommendations to improve the operations of a core in one of those areas during the 7 weeks of the course.
