How can one person make a difference in the commercial age? Using film, discussion, and lecture, this course examines what social entrepreneurship is, why it is needed, and how social entrepreneurs have adapted to various forms of capitalism around the world to overcome institutional obstacles, tackle social problems, reform ineffective governments, and make a profit in the process.
