BUS-S 507 Management of Information Technology

Information systems are at the core of every organization. This course offers an introduction to the unique challenges of managing information technology with an emphasis on project management. About 25% of CIOs report to the CFO indicating the strong relationship between accounting and information technology as they are interdependent to support business goals and maintain a strong internal control structure. Students will learn IT frameworks such as the software development life cycle as well as how to document processes using Microsoft Visio and schedule projects using Microsoft Project.
