Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is business software that typically encompasses Accounting, Manufacturing, Sales, Logistics, and Human Resources capabilities. Nearly all large and mid-size companies rely on ERP to manage day-to-day operations. This course focuses on the integration of accounting information systems in the context of an ERP system and how they are vital for decision making, reporting, and audit compliance. Students will gain hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite, a leading cloud-based ERP system. Students will learn how ERP is used to support and control vital business processes including the purchase-to-pay and order-to-cash cycles. Students will also learn the challenges of implementing and maintaining such complex and interconnected enterprise systems.
