- 7 weeks
- 1.5 credits
- Prerequisite(s): MBA Core
For a firm to execute its competitive strategy successfully, its supply chain must be able to deliver on the firm’s promise to its customers. Therefore, it is important for all managers to have an understanding of key supply chain concepts. With this in mind, the goal of “P561: Supply Chain Management and Technologies” is to introduce the main trade-offs involved in supply chain management, and the associated challenges and opportunities.
In this course, students will learn about quantitative tools that can be used to address supply chain challenges, including inventory management, demand forecasting, and lot-size planning. We will evaluate several case studies to understand how an organization could use these tools, paired with a qualitative understanding, to improve supply chain performance.
