BUS-P 370 Integrated Business Core—Operations Component

Students enroll through BUS-BE 375. Cross-functional survey of Operations and Supply Management. This course examines the processes in organizations that are used to transform the resources employed by a firm into products or services desired by customers. This includes the processes that move product and information through the various stages of the organization as well as a survey of the entire Supply Chain. The emphasis is on the cross-functional nature of the topics within the organization and other business functions. Topics include Strategic Operations and Supply Chain choices; Capacity planning; Inventory management; Demand forecasting; Aggregate production planning; Project management; Lean/Six sigma quality and SPC techniques; and Layout and process design. Includes a cross-functional case done in teams. Students may not receive credit for both P370 and (P304 or P300).
