BUS-M 344 Creativity and Communication

  • 16 weeks
  • 3 credits
  • Prerequisite(s): (BUS-C 104 or BUS-C 106) and (BUS-C 204 or BUS-C 205) with a grade of C or higher.

The goal of M344: Creativity and Communication is to provide students with an experiential environment in which to employ the tools necessary to create, evaluate and implement marketing communication strategies. Beyond using elements of the Adobe Creative Suite, students will learn the value of effective design and its application. They will also explore tapping into their own creative abilities and expanding that model into a team environment. Experience in the use of multi-channel marketing following a communication strategy will allow students to practice business-world decision-making. Best practices, and trends in marketing and visual communication will be reviewed and practiced. Tutorials, lectures, class discussions, project work, in-class activities, reflection opportunities and a field trip serve as the structure for learning and assessment.
