This course is designed to (i) introduce students to the current business issues and trends affecting the U.S. sports industry, and (ii) help students better understand how to pursue, obtain, and develop a career in this highly competitive field. Specifically, through a series of guest speakers and class projects, students will gain a deeper understanding of a variety of aspects of the sports industry, including arena management, business analytics, licensing, marketing, media rights, sponsorships, talent representation, and ticket sales, among others.
