BUS-G 455 Topics in BEPP: Energy Economics and Environmental Policy

The objective of this course is to provide a foundation for how to investigate energy and environmental issues from an economic perspective that utilizes data. Students will learn about the critical and unique features of energy markets and their implications for businesses and policy makers using tools from economics. This will include issues such as what generates market failures, regulation of pollution, electricity markets, markets for oil and gas, electric vehicles, and the economics of renewable energy. In each instance, applications using tools from economics and econometrics will be incorporated.
