BUS-G 272 Global Business Immersion - Business Economics & Public Policy: Luxury Brands in France

  • 8 weeks plus required travel component
  • 3 credits
  • Prerequisite(s): BUS-D270?with a grade of C or higher; accepted to application to Global Business Immersion

This eight-week 3.0 credit hour course is designed to extend the knowledge gained in D270 (Global Business Environment) and to provide an international travel experience that will involve company visits and cultural activities If you want to gain an understanding of the French economy, you need to appreciate the “Art de Vivre” as it is the driving force behind one of France's most important and vibrant industries: The Luxury Brands Sector.  French-owned groups such as LVMH, Kering, and Hermès dominate the global luxury brands market and this immersion class will offer theoretical and practical knowledge of the sector.
