BUS-F 272 Global Business Immersion - Finance: Hungary in Transition

This eight-week 3.0 credit hour course is designed to extend the knowledge gained in D270 (Global Business Environment) and to provide an international travel experience that will involve company visits and cultural activities This is a global business immersion course concerning Hungary. The course will investigate Hungary’s economic, social, and political transitions from a post-war communist state with a planned economy to a democratic republic with a free market. These transitions are still in progress, and an important goal of the course is to confront the complexities of modern Hungarian identity and to explore how Hungary’s very painful 20th century informs how Hungarians view themselves and the world today. F272 satisfies the BUS-271/272 I-Core prerequisite.
