BUS-F 255 Topics in Finance: Private Equity Workshop I

This course involves bringing buy-side professionals back to campus to teach students about and recruit students to various investing careers. Students will have opportunities to attend firm presentations, alumni events, alumni and IU faculty lectures, and other PEW required events and seminars. There will be two required field trips where students will visit investment banks, private equity, private credit, and certain private investment-oriented hedge funds. By the end of the course students should be knowledgeable about buy-side investments and should have the skills necessary to secure internships in both investment banking and private investment roles.
