1Kelley Consulting aims to develop business leaders who impact a diverse set of clients in Bloomington, with a special focus on businesses owned by women and underrepresented minorities. Selected undergraduate participants work on a live project for a client, gaining critical skills in project management, teamwork, client and intra-group communication, and problem-solving. Kelley Full-Time MBA students coach and mentor the undergraduate project teams. Students engage with the course material through regularly held class sessions taught by the faculty member, MBA leaders, and/or guest lecturers. Students also participate in a cultural competency workshop series which includes self-reflection and candid conversations about diversity, equity, and inclusion in business.
