BUS-A 355 Topics in Accounting: Sustainability Reporting & Analysis
This course is designed to analyze and investigate sustainability reporting topics, including environmental, social, and governance through multiple stakeholder lenses, including present and potential investors, managers, the media, consumers, and jurisdictions. We will explore sustainability reporting as it relates to traditional financial reporting, analyze regulatory requirements around the world, and investigate stakeholder roles in sustainability reporting. To accomplish these goals, we will investigate current and proposed sustainability standards at the general and industry-specific level and evaluate multinational companies’ sustainability reports.
