This eight-week 3.0 credit hour course is designed to extend the knowledge gained in D270 (Global Business Environment) and to provide an international travel experience that will involve company visits and cultural activities. The objective of this course is to familiarize students with the multiplicity of accounting environments facing managers and corporations who are operating in the global economy. Thus, participants should acquire awareness of, and an appreciation for, the diversity and complexity of global accounting. More specifically, the successful completion of this course should enable participants to understand and analyze how global accounting interacts with country policies, professional certification processes, and corporate strategy. This course should be of interest to all business students who have an interest in learning about accounting in its broadest sense.
