The Washington Campus offers unique, intensive, five day residency courses in Washington D.C. for MBA and other graduate professional students. The complete course includes: pre-readings, course sessions and activities, a final written exam on the last day, and a team project due two weeks after the course is completed. In order to meet academic credit contact hour requirements, the course typically runs Monday-Friday from approximately 8:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., with a 4:00 p.m. close on Friday. The structure and flow of the MBA Health Care Policy course is similar to the MBA Business and Public Policy Washington Campus Course offered in spring, but with an emphasis on health care topics, speakers, and organizations. Health care is the largest sector of the U.S. economy, and also the sector with perhaps the deepest and most complex involvement of government throughout. Current and future health care executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals increasingly need to understand how government and public policy processes work, what are the key policy issues and trends, and how they can more effectively navigate this complicated environment. The Washington Campus customized and open-enrollment health care policy courses enable participants to interact first-hand with health care policy makers, regulators, and other experts who share their uniquely valuable insights with those interested and involved in health care.
