BUKD-F 753 Behavior Finance and Private Wealth Management
- 12 weeks
- 3.00 credits
- Prerequisite(s): Core 2
In the past twenty years and especially after the crash of 2008, there has been a revolution in how researchers, practitioners and policy makers think about finance. While the tools of finance theory are central, they have been enriched by considering how the human mind operates both on an individual level and in markets. This is a course about this revolution and is essentially a course about financial decisions and psychology. Our basic approach will be to review and expand the investment and corporate finance concepts in the MBA core by incorporating how people behave as investors and corporate managers. We will have a special focus on the implications for wealth management.
