Project Description
Our Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) grant through the US Department of Education supports a wide variety of activities to help promote US business competitiveness in the global marketplace. One of our projects is a video series highlighting how many careers have international language and culture components. The series, IU CIBER Career Series for Students, is targeted at US high school students to help them understand that language and culture learning is important in so many areas that they don’t know about yet. We are highlighting a wide variety of careers and want to connect with Kelley alumni to share their global career experiences!
What you will do as the alumni volunteer
Does your career have an international business focus? A staff member from Kelley Global will contact you to set up a self-interview video at your convenience! Questions may include:
What is your career? What kind of work do you do?
Why did you choose this career?
Does your career have a global/international component?
What foreign language or international/multicultural skills do you use/need for this position?
What skills did you develop (or wish you had developed) as a student that would have benefited you as you pursued this career path? Or, if you are a supervisor, what skills do you want your future employees to have as they enter this field?
What advice do you have for students who are interested in this career?
