Katie Kelting

doctoral student
Marketing Major
Department of Marketing

Katie Kelting’s research focuses on consumer perceptions and evaluations of store brands, and she’s found the perfect faculty mentor to get her career started. “I’ve written papers with Adam [Professor Adam Duhachek] that we have submitted to major academic journals. Adam is obviously very experienced with academic publishing, and I’m lucky to be able to work with him. He’s a great expert to have by my side.”

Areas of Study

The Kelley School’s Department of Marketing is highly respected, consistently ranking among the top programs in the nation. As a doctoral student, you’ll learn first hand just how true it is that “everything starts with marketing,” and you’ll create original research working alongside our world-renowned faculty as you prepare for your academic career.

The marketing faculty is known worldwide for its scholarship. Our faculty members are published frequently in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, and Marketing Science. They are on the editorial boards of more than 10 marketing journals.

Our Customer Interface Virtual Laboratory enables you to track shopper behavior and test consumers’ reactions to new product and packaging concepts. Our Lab Store within a national retailer is the only one of its kind. We also have a Behavioral Technology Lab and databases from Compustat, Productscan, and ACNielsen, among others. Our three centers support research, and our seminar series enables you to hear about new marketing research from leading scholars around the world and present your own research.
