Led by Kelley Student Government (KSG) and supported by the Undergraduate Program, this student clothing assistance program aims to remove financial barriers so you can feel confident that you’re dressed professionally for your interview, networking experience, or other career-related events. The Dress Closet is open once a semester, usually within the first few weeks. Follow Kelley Student Government on Instagram to find out when it will happen.
Free professional clothing for students
You can select one item or a coordinated set, such as a jacket and pants. Choose from available career clothes such as:
- Blazers and jackets
- Dress shirts and blouses
- Pants and skirts
- Dresses
- Ties and accessories
Benefits that extend beyond free interview clothing
These free professional clothing options ensure you’re prepared with appropriate business student dress for interviews and other professional settings. The Dress Closet also offers ways to connect you with additional professional development support, such as resources through Undergraduate Career Services (UCS). Located in Prebys Center, UCS offers guidance on interview prep, career readiness, resume tips, and professional growth.
Organized by KSG’s Professional Development Committee, the Dress Closet initiative has served hundreds of students by providing free interview clothing and essential career resources. In the past semester, the Dress Closet distributed nearly 250 items to roughly 200 students, helping them build a polished business student outfit for important career moments.
The Kelley Dress Closet is made possible through generous career closet donations from alumni, faculty, staff, and community partners. Contributions of gently used career wardrobe donations sustain this resource and expand access for future students.
