Your voice. Your wellness.

At Kelley, we know true leadership starts with self-care. The Student Wellness Advisory Council (SWAC) is the student link to KelleyWell. Made up of current students studying at Kelley across all majors and backgrounds, SWAC aims to make mental health and support programming relevant, impactful, and built around the real needs and experiences of current students. Join SWAC to help shape a strong cullture of wellness for all students studying at Kelley.

SWAC: Our mission and impact

SWAC's overarching mission is to help reduce stigma, build community, and foster a culture of wellness at Kelley. We believe that wellness skills are essential for leadership, personal growth, and professional success. We are a working council of dedicated Kelley undergraduate students committed to amplifying student voices and strengthening the well-being of the entire Kelley community.

Each year, SWAC picks a wellness theme and focuses all advocacy, programming, and research on that topic. By providing honest insights, we reduce stigma on campus and advance Kelley’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment where every student can thrive—personally, academically, and professionally.

Our structure

SWAC’s student leadership includes elected committee leads, each representing one of three committees. These committees collaborate directly with KelleyWell staff to execute our mission.

Designs and executes campuswide campaigns and marketing materials to reduce stigma and promote awareness of existing resources.

Plans and implements peer-to-peer, wellness-focused initiatives aligned with SWAC's wellness theme for the year.

Gathers student feedback, analyzes data, researches the wellness theme, and provides strategic input to ensure initiatives address the evolving needs of Kelleys.

Our vision and goals

Advocacy: Elevating student voices in wellness conversations.
Awareness: Increasing wellness visibility through student-informed input and outreach.
Connection: Promoting peer support and building community.
Collaboration: Partnering with Kelley and campus partners to expand impact.
Representation: Advising KelleyWell on student wellness needs.

Ready to make a difference?

Members must be current Kelley undergraduate students, including pre-business, and demonstrate a commitment to mental health and wellness initiatives. All members must have a minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA. Members must be committed for one academic year, beginning in the fall and ending in the spring semester. Membership can be renewed.

Applications open once a year during spring semester (typically March). A student’s position in a student organization will not automatically determine their membership.
