Driving social impact through leadership in business

The Thomasson Fellows Program supports socially conscious undergraduate students at the Kelley School of Business to become leaders of positive economic and social change. As recipients of this prestigious scholarship, Thomasson Fellows explore the intersection of business and social responsibility by participating in volunteer activities organized within the Kelley Institute for Social Impact (KISI).

Renewable for up to four consecutive years, the Thomasson scholarship empowers Fellows to apply their business skills to the economic, societal, or environmental challenges that drive their curiosity. Through their work with KISI, they are connected with like-minded students motivated to make a difference in the world.

The Thomasson Fellows Program was established in 2022 through the generosity of Jeffrey and Benita Thomasson, proud Kelley and IU Indianapolis alumni and philanthropists.

Emily Sun

“Being a Thomasson Fellow has allowed me to be the change I wish to see in the world. By taking concepts of sustainability and social impact and carrying them into actions both inside and outside of the classroom, I am able to make positive impacts on not just my community, but myself as well.”

Emily Sun, BS’26Thomasson Fellow
